WAV checks by McElmeel Mobility Services
WAV checks
McElmeel Mobility Services pride ourselves on customer satisfaction. To achieve this, we follow a procedure of checks to make sure that every customer that buys a WAV is looked after. These checks come firstly within four weeks of the purchase and then annually. The first ‘familiarisation’ check is to ensure the customer understands everything about the vehicle and that it is as it’s supposed to be. The second ‘Annual’ check is to make sure the Wheelchair Accessible Vehicle is operating as it should and that the customers’ needs haven’t changed. Here is some more information on the checks;
Familiarisation checks
Within 4 weeks of purchasing your WAV, McElmeel Mobility provide a free familiarisation check to make sure that your WAV is fully meeting your expectations.
With each check there are several things that are assessed including:
1. Your opinion of the WAV within your first month of owning it
- We are set on making our customers as happy as they possibly can be. This means making sure that there aren’t any improvements or adaptions that need to be completed to the WAV to improve the experience.
2. If the WAV is operating as it should be
- Through the Motability scheme, any issues with the WAV are completely covered and will be dealt with as quick as possible to allow you to be back on the road as quick as possible.
Full support and advice on how to operate the WAV is given by a specialist carrying out the familiarisation check as well as the whole McElmeel team if necessary.
Annual WAV check
With annual WAV checks, our specialist will make sure your vehicle is performing as it should be without any faults that can naturally occur through daily use.
We understand needing a WAV means that conditions and circumstances can change, and components on the WAV may need to change to improve the experience of driving. Our specialist can consult with any further adaptions that can be added to the vehicle to improve the drivability and make the users life easier.
Once our specialist has physically assessed the vehicles and made sure that the customer is happy with what they have received, you can carry on with your vehicle knowing that everything is up to McElmeel standards.
