McElmeel Mobility Services are a Market Leader in adaptation, conversion and supply of vehicles for disabled drivers and passengers. Based three miles outside the City of Armagh, we supply converted and adapted vehicles across Ireland and the UK. Established in 1950 and the oldest converter in our industry, McElmeel Mobility is a third generation Family run business, built upon our core values of innovation and excellent customer service.
The Role:
We are currently recruiting for a Trainee Production Manager to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experience Production Supervisor to take the next step in their career. The successful candidate will manage the fabrication and manufacturing elements of our company.
Responsibilities:
- Planning, organising and prioritising workload to ensure production targets are achieved,
- Mentor, train, develop and encourage staff to ensure best workflow practices,
- Oversee continual evolution of production processes and product specifications,
- Liaise with relevant departments to ensure materials required are available,
- Attend meetings and provide updates on job status,
- Manage employees performance reports,
- Lead by example through a hands on approach in all production areas,
- Actively promote best practice and continuous improvement initiatives.
The Ideal Candidate:
- At least 2 years experience within an engineering/manufacturing company,
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to lead and manage a team
- Experience with R&D environments
- Demonstrable experience with production planning systems
- Ability to work under pressure, ensuring deadlines are met
- Full Driving licence
