Job Vacancy - Adaptations Workshop Supervisor

Based three miles outside the City of Armagh, we supply converted and adapted vehicles across Ireland and the UK.  Established in 1950 and the oldest converter in our industry, McElmeel Mobility is a third generation Family run business, built upon our core values of innovation and excellent customer service.


The Role:
The Adaptations workshop supervisor will play a pivotal role in the Adaptations department. You will be responsible for managing the team to ensure optimal efficiency and to ensure adaptations are fitted to the required standard within the required time frame.  

   

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for planning work schedules - allocating duties, times and organising parts to be available for fitting,
  • Manage and lead the team to achieve KPIs,
  • Responsible for training and development of the team to a high level of workmanship,
  • Carry out relevant equipment checks & ensure team is following company’s health and safety guidelines,
  • Complete daily team briefs and tool box talks,
  • Responsible for monitoring and reviewing current processes and implementing improvements,
  • Responsible for the creation and implementation of build manuals for all McElmeel fitted adaptations.




The Ideal Candidate:

  • Previous demonstrable experience in a similar role,
  • Ability to lead and manage a team,
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines,
  • Excellent communication skills,
  • Proficient IT user
  • Full driving licence
